ViewVee Privacy Policy

Effective date: 11 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Specter Interactive s.r.o. ("Specter", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the ViewVee mobile application and its related services (together, the "Service"). ViewVee turns a compatible phone into a camera and another compatible phone into a monitor for babies, pets, a home, or another person whom you are legally permitted to monitor.

Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of ViewVee.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

Specter Interactive s.r.o.
Herbenova 1500/64
693 01 Hustopeče
Czech Republic
Company ID: 08612382
Email: support@specterint.com

2. Information ViewVee handles

CategoryExamples and how it is handled
Account information If you create or use an account, we process your first name, last name, email address, account identifier, authentication status, and secure authentication tokens. Passwords are sent to our identity service for authentication; the app does not store your password in ordinary local preferences. You may also use ViewVee in guest mode where available.
Camera, microphone, and live media With device permission, ViewVee captures live video and audio and may transmit audio in both directions between paired devices. Live media is end-to-end encrypted by WebRTC. We do not record or store live media on our Signal or TURN servers.
Recordings Recording starts only when a user selects the recording function. Video files and basic metadata such as date, duration, and camera/monitor source are stored locally in the app's storage on that user's device. We do not automatically upload these recordings. A user can choose to share a recording through another app, in which case that recipient or service's privacy practices apply.
Pairing and connection data Random pairing secrets, room/session identifiers, device role, signaling messages, network candidates, IP addresses, connection timestamps, and technical connection data may be processed to connect the two devices. Pairing secrets are generated on-device and are not intentionally sent to the signaling server.
Monitoring data ViewVee may process motion events, sound events or levels, device battery level, signal quality, and monitoring preferences. Frame analysis for motion detection is performed on the camera device. Relevant alerts and telemetry are sent to the paired monitor for the active session.
Device and diagnostic data Device model, operating-system and app version, language, network status, IP address, error details, and similar technical information may be processed by the app, our servers, app stores, or service providers to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the Service.
Preferences and support Theme, language, selected monitoring mode, notification settings, ad-free reward expiry, and similar preferences are stored locally. If you contact support, we process your name, email address, message, and any information you choose to include.
Advertising data The app may offer optional rewarded ads. Current ad requests are configured as non-personalized. Google and platform services may nevertheless process IP address, device identifiers, ad interactions, and technical data to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads.

3. End-to-end encryption and server roles

Live video and audio are end-to-end encrypted between paired devices. WebRTC encrypts media in transit, including when a TURN server has to relay the encrypted packets. The Signal server coordinates the connection, and the TURN server forwards packets; neither service is intended to decrypt or store the live media content.

Signaling is sent over secure WSS/TLS and signaling messages are authenticated between paired devices to detect alteration and replay. Connection servers still process the technical data needed to establish and maintain a session, such as session identifiers, roles, IP addresses, connection candidates, and transient signaling messages. Encryption cannot prevent a person using either paired device from viewing, hearing, locally recording, or sharing content available on that device. Keep pairing links and QR codes confidential.

4. Why we process information and our legal bases

5. Local network use and device permissions

ViewVee requests camera and microphone access for monitoring and two-way communication; local network and Wi-Fi access to find and connect devices on the same network; and notifications to show motion, sound, or connection alerts. On supported devices, foreground-service and wake-lock permissions help an active monitoring session continue when the screen is off. ViewVee does not request precise GPS location. Network information such as IP addresses can still indicate an approximate location.

6. Service providers and recipients

We disclose information only as needed to operate the Service, when you direct us to, or when required by law. Recipients may include:

We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer safeguard. Provider-specific terms and safeguards may also apply.

7. Advertising

ViewVee may let you voluntarily watch a rewarded ad to unlock a temporary benefit. Ads are requested as non-personalized, but the provider may still use contextual information, device identifiers, IP address, fraud-prevention signals, and ad interaction data. You can use applicable device and account controls to limit advertising identifiers and tracking. Refusing optional advertising does not prevent use of the app's essential monitoring functions, although the associated reward will not be granted.

8. Retention

9. Your choices and data-protection rights

Depending on applicable law, including the GDPR, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

To delete a signed-in ViewVee account, use the delete-account option in the app or visit viewvee.com/account/delete. Information and instructions for requesting deletion of personal data are available at viewvee.com/account/data-delete. You may also email support@specterint.com from the address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting an online account does not automatically erase recordings stored only on your devices; delete those in the app or from the device. You may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work. In the Czech Republic, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection.

10. Children and monitored individuals

ViewVee is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or any higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts. The Service is designed so an adult parent, guardian, caregiver, pet owner, or authorized property owner may monitor subjects for whom they have responsibility or legal permission.

Video and audio may contain personal data of children or other people. You are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis, providing any legally required notice, obtaining consent where required, positioning devices lawfully, and respecting the dignity, privacy, and rights of everyone who may be captured. Do not use ViewVee for covert, unlawful, workplace, public-space, or intimate surveillance.

11. Security

We use measures including TLS, WebRTC media encryption, random high-entropy pairing secrets, authenticated signaling, secure token storage, access controls, and limited server-side session state. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Protect your devices, account, pairing QR codes and links, and recordings, and install operating-system and ViewVee updates.

12. Cookies and external links

The native app does not directly use browser cookies for its core monitoring function. Login pages, app stores, advertisements, external websites, and third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites you choose to visit.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to ViewVee, our providers, or the law. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.

14. Contact us

Questions, privacy requests, and complaints can be sent to support@specterint.com or by post to the controller address above.
