Effective date: 11 August 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Specter Interactive s.r.o., with its registered office at Herbenova 1500/64, 693 01 Hustopeče, Czech Republic, Company ID 08612382, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, File 114487 ("Specter", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your download, installation, and use of the ViewVee application and related services (together, the "Application").
By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the Application, or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application. The store through which you obtain ViewVee may impose additional terms.
ViewVee lets a user turn a compatible smartphone into a camera and use another compatible device as a monitor. Intended uses include monitoring a baby, pet, home, property, or another person when the user has the legal authority and any required consent. Features may include live video, one-way or two-way audio, local or internet pairing, motion and sound alerts, battery and connection information, local recording, and sharing of user-selected recordings.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into this agreement, or meet the applicable age of legal capacity in your country. ViewVee is intended to be operated by adults, not by children. Where guest mode is available, some features may be used without an account.
You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep it current, protect your password and devices, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for anyone to whom you provide a paired device, pairing QR code, link, or account access. We may require identity verification for account recovery or deletion requests.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use the Application in object-code form on devices you own or control, solely for lawful personal use and in accordance with applicable app store rules. This licence does not transfer ownership of the Application or any intellectual property.
The Application needs access to features such as the camera, microphone, local network, Wi-Fi, notifications, and background or foreground operation to provide monitoring functions. You control these permissions through your device settings, but disabling them may prevent features from working. Internet monitoring requires suitable connectivity and may use your mobile-data allowance. You are responsible for compatible devices, power, connectivity, data charges, and safe device placement.
You may use ViewVee only when you have the right to capture and transmit the relevant video and audio. You agree that you will:
Laws about audio recording and surveillance vary by location. It is your responsibility to determine which rules apply to you and to the location of every camera and monitored person.
Live video and audio use WebRTC end-to-end encryption between paired devices. When direct connection is not possible, a TURN server may forward encrypted packets without being intended to decrypt their content. A Signal server processes transient technical messages needed to connect devices. Signaling is protected in transit and authenticated between paired devices, but the servers and networks involved necessarily process connection metadata such as IP addresses and session information.
Keep QR codes, pairing links, devices, and account credentials private. Anyone with a valid pairing link or access to a paired device may be able to receive the stream, use two-way audio, make a local recording, or share content. No security technology is infallible, and we do not guarantee that the Application will be free from every vulnerability, interception attempt, or unauthorized use.
Recordings created through ViewVee are stored locally on the recording device unless a user chooses to share or back them up through another service. You retain ownership of content you create. You are responsible for protecting, deleting, backing up, and lawfully using that content, and for the acts of anyone with access to a paired device.
You grant us only the limited rights reasonably necessary to transmit technical signaling and provide support or another function you specifically request. We do not claim ownership of your live media or local recordings. If you send content to support, you grant us permission to access and use it only as needed to respond, secure the Service, or comply with law.
You must not:
Do not rely on ViewVee to prevent injury, death, escape, theft, property damage, or another emergency. Connections, alerts, sound or motion detection, background operation, batteries, cameras, microphones, operating systems, and networks can fail, be delayed, stop, or produce false positive or false negative results. Maintain direct and age-appropriate supervision, follow safe-sleep and caregiving guidance, regularly check the monitored person or animal in person, and use certified safety or alarm equipment where appropriate. Contact local emergency services in an emergency.
Keep phones, charging cables, stands, batteries, and other equipment out of reach of babies, children, pets, and anyone who may be endangered by them. Follow the device manufacturer's charging, ventilation, mounting, temperature, and battery-safety instructions. Do not use damaged, overheating, or swollen devices.
ViewVee may offer optional rewarded advertising, subscriptions, purchases, premium functionality, or promotional access. Any price, duration, renewal terms, and included features will be shown before a purchase. App-store billing, cancellation, and refund rules apply to transactions processed by the store. Rewarded-ad availability and rewards are not guaranteed and may be changed or withdrawn. Current rewarded ad requests are configured as non-personalized.
ViewVee may use or link to services operated by Google, Apple, Meta, connectivity providers, hosting providers, or sharing apps. Their terms and privacy policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, content, or acts beyond our reasonable control.
ViewVee, its software, design, logos, graphics, text, and other materials are owned by Specter or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited licence above, all rights are reserved. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
The Application is provided on an "as available" basis. We may maintain, update, add, remove, limit, or discontinue features to improve security, comply with law, or operate the Service. Updates may be required for continued use. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or network, permanent retention of data, or that alerts and connections will always be accurate or timely.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Specter is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss; loss of data, recordings, profits, opportunity, or goodwill; failures of devices, batteries, networks, app stores, or third-party services; or harm caused by unlawful monitoring, shared pairing credentials, user-created recordings, or reliance on ViewVee as a safety or emergency system.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is prohibited, including liability for intent, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
You may stop using ViewVee at any time. You can delete a signed-in account through the app or at viewvee.com/account/delete. Other personal-data deletion requests and instructions are available at viewvee.com/account/data-delete. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a material or repeated breach, unlawful conduct, security risk, harm to another user, non-payment, or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled. By using ViewVee, you acknowledge that processing necessary to provide the Application will occur as described there.
If you obtained ViewVee from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
These Terms are governed by Czech law, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections provided by the law of their country of habitual residence. Courts having jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue amicably.
A Czech consumer may seek out-of-court resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, at coi.gov.cz. An ADR request generally must be made within one year after the consumer first asserted the relevant claim with us. Consumers in other countries may have access to their local consumer-protection or dispute-resolution bodies.
We may update these Terms for legal, security, technical, or business reasons. We will post the updated version and effective date and, where required, provide additional notice or request acceptance. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights that had already accrued. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Application and cancel any applicable subscription.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, reorganization, or transfer of the Application, subject to applicable law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable purchase terms form the agreement concerning ViewVee and supersede earlier terms on the same subject.
